Our art at Deerfield Designs is a full service graphics studio. We can take your art or make you art. We can provide design service for all aspects of a production run and we create designs with color separations in mind for how it will print. We can create concepts for designs to be used in merchandising lines. We can provide color coordination with designs and the garments they are intended for. We can also provide custom illustrations for any event or special occasion that needs its own commemorative artwork. After two or three editing sessions, this art will be what you only had as an idea before.

   Color separations are the biggest part of any screen printing’s art department’s duties. Whether the print job is spot color, four color process or simulated process, they all need a separate positive for each color. Any great artwork only prints great with great color separations. This separation process determines ink colors, print order and mesh counts called for each color. Without having all these variables under control, you can’t create an excellent print.

   Our experience in the tee shirt world allows us to consult you in terms of who your designs are being printed for, how to arrange a line of designs and certain design elements that can have dramatic improvements to your end result. We’ve been printing tee shirt designs since 1978 and it always starts with the art. While we’ve created our own artwork for over two decades, we also have a network of independent illustrators that each has their own style.

   Any good design that needs to say something needs the right font. It’s the font that will immediately give the feel to your design because you’re always going to read text first. The art of choosing the right font is called typesetting. Our experience in typesetting is as old as we are. Since our first design, we added text. We’ll take the time to understand what you want to convey and will give you some options of how to show it best.
